It is our goal to provide you with the best financing possible for your project, with responsive, outstanding service every step of the way Our Organization Originally founded in 1984 as Stanislaus County Economic Development Corporation, SCEDCO is a private, non-profit California corporation licensed and regulated by the U. S. Small Business Administration as a Certified Development Company. We have provided over $90 million of SBA 504 project financing to over 200 California Central Valley businesses, which has helped create or retain over 2,900 jobs. The original organization was formed to serve Stanislaus County for business attraction and retention, but quickly expanded its scope by adding our Certified Development Company Status in May 1986 to do SBA 504 lending. A revolving loan fund was added in 1987 and Valley Sierra Small Business Development Center was started in July 1990 to serve Merced, Tuolumne and Mariposa Counties in addition to Stanislaus County. During the past five years under current management control, Success Capital has approved over 130 SBA 504 loans totaling over $60 million dollars. For the FYE, Spetember 30, 2004, Success Capital approved 39 loans totaling over $20 million. In November 2003, our territory became statewide, although we continue to concentrate our efforts in the Central Valley and Sierra Nevada Mountain Counties. In the summer of 2002, the business attraction and retention portions of SCEDCO split off to join with the Workforce Investment Board forming the Stanislaus Economic Development & Workforce Alliance. Valley Sierra SBDC is now hosted by StanAlliance. This corporate divestiture permitted Success Capital to concentrate solely on its lending functions and to apply for PCLP status (Premier Certified Lender Program) which was granted on Spetmeber 20, 2004. PCLP status allows us to make our own credit decisions on selected loans, speeding up the approval process for our borrowers with this internal approval authority.
